What Is Stuffing Envelopes All About? 
“Would you stuff 1000 envelopes for $1000 dollars”? For most sensible people this headline would set off alarm bells. However many do get conned into believing this is a possibility.  People are lured by these headlines and are asked to send money to a post office box in order to join the scheme. They are asked to send some money, usually between $32 and $45 to cover a registration fee, postage and handling. Instead of genuine work, all they receive is a set of instructions on how to duplicate the scheme. They will receive photocopied sheets advising how to place advertisements similar to the one they have responded to. The only envelope stuffing that goes on is replying to an order from new victims. Ultimately it is just another pyramid type scheme that involves misleading and deceptive conduct.

What To Look Out For?
The latest envelope stuffing scams are new variations of an old con. Schemes operate in most countries around the world and where consumers are attracted by ‘work at home’ advertisements in newspapers, magazines and the internet. They generally target people who are unemployed and desperate to find work and income.  Remember the golden rule, if an offer sounds to be good to be true, then it probably is!
