What is an affiliate online store?
An affiliate online store is where you display products on your site from another site such as eBay or Amazon. The core store/or site such as eBay will pay you a commission for every referral you make to there site that converts into a sale. I personally believe that affiliate stores are the way of the future as you have the ability to sell products from a number of different sites such as eBay, Amazon.com and clickbank on the one site. The concept of an affiliate store is similar to that of the superstores you find in most suburbs or the mortgage brokers you find around town. A mortgage broker does not sell a product but can refer customers to a number of different banks where they simply receive a commission for any deal they refer that turns into a sale.
Making Money With An Affilaite Store
Many people use the affiliate store concept simply to make additional money from an existing hobby web site. An example of this is one of my own affiliate stores. I have an interest in golf and established www.davesgolfstore.com. Here I provide my own content while also having a direct feed from eBay on my site. Every product listed on eBay under the golf category is display on my site in real time. When somebody clicks on a set of golf clubs listed on my site they are taken directly to eBay. If they place a successful bid I receive a commission from eBay ranging from 20-65% of eBays income. Even better if I refer a new customer to eBay I receive a commission of $24.

Staring an Affiliate stores is a great way to make money online without having to stock your own products, have a credit card facility or deal directly with customers. Furthermore you can base your store around a hobby or interest that will make it easy to place extra content to put on your web-site. I receive income through a number of ways:
eBay commissions for products purchased from site
eBay referral for new eBay members (generally $24 U.S.D)

Personally I like the fact that I dont have to source any products for these stores, I dont need a merchant credit facility as eBay process any transactions and I dont have direct dealings with my customers.
